Maria has always been aspiring to reach the top, so when so was being asked that how does she feel to be in the world no.2 and she said I want to become no.1 This natural blonde beauty was born in April 19, 1987 in the Nyagan, Siberia, Russia and presently lives in the Bradenton, Florida, USA. Her parents are originally from Homiel, Belarus, but moved to Russia in 1986 after the nuclear accident in the Chernobyl nuclear plant, which was very near to the site of the nuclear accident.

 

. While having her Belorussian roots and residing in the United States, Sharapova has kept her Russian Citizenship. 

From the very early age of four Maria started playing tennis when her parents decided to moved to the resort town of Sochi. Her parents have been quite relaxed with their daughter and allowed her to pursue whatever she wants in her life. She was into dancing, music and all sort of sport. However, the on her fourth birthday she was presented a tennis racquet by the Yevgeny Kafelnikov’s father.  

On getting the racquet in the gift this girl started hitting ball hard in her backyard. When Maria was six years old and still hitting the ball then the local coach suggested her father Yuri to take her to the Moscow as Russian Tennis Federation may consider her for training.

On reaching the Moscow, the head coach Yuri Udkin, was awe struck by her performance on the court and commented that he had not seen such a player in past few year. Well, indeed her thirst for the game was there right from the childhood days and she had been working hard to prove her mettle.   

 However, her real talent was come to limelight when she was noticed by Martina Navratilova in a tennis court in Moscow. So impressed was the Navratilova from the skills of this beauty that she urged Maria’s parents to take her to United States to get her some serious coaching. Availability of the fund was the biggest hurdle in her life and but here the Navratilova assisted this family and Maria along-with her father left for the Bradenton, Florida, United States.  

With just $1000 in their pocket and not exactly know that where this Bradenton is in the world map, the duo of father and daughter left for the United States as her mother could not able to get the visa. On reaching the United States after much persuasion she was accepted in the world famous Bollettieri Sports Academy where she face wide scale criticism from the local that she is too young and not to talent to get the admission. However, Bollettieri had sensed the special quality in this girl and since then there has been no stop for this girl. 

She has picked up the English language skills in just one month’s time and now we have a world famous personality with a dazzling figure and equal prow ness for the game also. She has been very boisterous about her view on anything. That’s what we call the real struggler are always  stand for right and they are the one who made it to the top.
