This has left a scar of humiliation in her. She has also seen other act complete debar in circus, local amusement park, hotel room and even served stale food in the restaurant on account of her skin color. Though she was kid was but this discrimination was burning like fire in her consciousness. She was aware about the civil right struggle taking place in Birmingham and used to enquire about the incident from her neighbor as her parents used to keep her away from all these news.

But she also recounted all these incidents where she has said that she just hate that segregation era in the history of United States but many a times she was enclosed in the premises of her home from the scare of bombing in the street. These kinds of deprivation are very detrimental to the normal growth of the child but when human being faces extremes in their respective lives then only they are being forced to think out of shell and try to think to bring some kind of transformation in the society.

 These violent days were formidable for her that at the same time it was the learning phase of her life. It was believeth of her family member that the follow of the violence is not the right way for fighting for their right.

Her father was the firm with his conviction and at the same time instilled in Condi that black people would have to prove themselves worthy of advancement, and would simply have to be “twice as good” to overcome injustice built into the system. However, they were the supporter of the goals of the civil right movement in the peaceful manner.

 Condoleezza was grown up in the time of upheaval of the racial discrimination in US, but that made her determinant for fight against adversity. She inculcated this suggestion of her father very deeply that to stand against the injustice she will have to “twice as good” as non-minorities. This has also made her to speak her mind very clearly and boldly. She said once that if gun registration had been mandatory, her father’s weapons would have been confiscated and they would have been left defenseless against the attack of violent mob.

 To make her father’s desire true she learned French, Russian, German and Spanish. She also learned music, skating and ballet. At point of time she was very serious to learn the piano but she shelved this idea on realization that she was “pretty good but not great”. Therefore she has seen it all problems, discrimination and adversity. But this has helped her to become a human being with a limpid thought process.

 Attending the course of International Politics taught by Josef Korbel, the father of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had sparked her interest in Politics in general and Soviet Union and International Relations in particular. This interest had taken her near to politics. Rice was a Democrat until 1982; however, former President Carter’s foreign policy influenced her to switch her side to Republican Party.

 Her determination and budgetary skills came to forefront when in Stanford’s Provost, Dr. Rice was responsible for the managing the university’s multimillion dollar budget. At that time the school was running in deficit of $20 million, but she balanced the budget in two years time and makes it surplus with $14 million as was promised by her.

 As an astute politician, her “Transformational Diplomacy policy” for replacing the American diplomats to the new areas of growth center and at the same time making it mandatory for the diplomats to learn at-least two foreign languages. She is not just into the politics only. She has served as the board of directors for the Carnegie Corporation, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Charles Schwab Corporation, the Chevron Corporation, Hewlett Packard and Rand Corporation and this list is endless.

No wonder that this woman has taken the color of her skin in her stride and transcendent into the some of the uncharted territories where even non-minorities falter to reach.
